WOW, I have owned and trained hundreds of horses but not sense Mozart have I had a horse as beautiful as Dash. Dash is aware of his good looks and is willing to say “look at me” at any time. He is flashy, fun and a joy to own. He is one of the most well rounded horses that we have had the pleasure to work with.
In the ring he is very strait forward. He isn’t overly trained in the dressage ring and has not bad habits to correct. He is easy to enjoy. Even off property he was the same horse for all 3 riders. Is he the best horse for a complete beginner who has never set on a horse before? No but he will happily allow them to walk along on him. In an amateurs hands he looks fancy, fit and put together. In the hands of a professional he becomes one of the fanciest movers in the ring. This horse is what talent looks like.
On the trails, XC course and card rides or hunter paces he really shines. He is bold and brave to jumps and always looking for the next challenge. He is not looking to race back to the barn or back to his buddies. He is the perfect horse to jump on and ride out alone for the day. We have used him for camps, trips and teaching kids to ride more advanced movements.
We had a true beginner come out last week to try a different horse and I allowed them to try him and he was an angel. He knew she had no experience and he just walk /trot around for her and took care of her. Horses this nice to ride for adults, but this safe for kids is just rare.
In the barn he is so kind, patient and easy. He is a great horse to introduce kids to horse ownership. He stands quiet on the cross ties and is a gentleman for the farrier and vet. He will follow you around like a puppy. You do not need a halter, just a lead rope or a treat lol.
He is up to date on all vaccines, dentals and farrier.
